No Bridge 1st August to 12th August

From 13th to 31st August there will be Bridge every Thursday, Friday, & Saturday evening at 7:45 p.m.

First Swiss Teams test

We had a teams test event, thank you everyone for your forebearance as we went through the cumbersome setup procedure, but we got there.

The winners with a score of 50 Victory points were Marie Morrissey, Olive Connaughton, Michael MacAuliffe and Ronan McMaugh,  ahead of James Killen, Pauline Britchfield, Jimmy Byrne and Gerry Ryan in second on 48,  and Ann-Marie Heavey, Betty Cody, Brendan Rushe and Catherine Egan in third on 46.

Limited Bridge in August

There will be no Paddyi Bridge between 1st and 12th August.

From the 13th to 31st August there will be Paddyi bridge only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 19:45. 

Subject to demand, normal €10/month service will resume in September.

Teams

The Saturday games in August will be a Swiss teams event.

Entry is slightly more complicated,but …

• if you have difficulty with the procedure you can simply enter as a pair in the normal way and take pot luck on the other half of your team ;
  OR
• You can contact me during the week before (Monday to Friday)  & if you assemble your team online I will assist you to register one or more days in advance ;
  OR
• For those teams that have mastered the team registration procedure entry will be open as normal from 2 hours before competition start.

One small caution, I am still building my experience running BBO Swiss, so there is still an experimental element to teams games.

The first teams match will be on Saturday 15th August.
