Saturday 22nd August, Teams

September PaddyBBO competitions will be BB$ pay as you go, and open to Irish players & invited international players.

Unfortunately we simply do not have the numbers playing to justify continuing the flat rate €10 / month.  Therefore I will not be collecting this for September. If our numbers grow we can resume the flat rate method.

Also, a few reminders :

• Competitions will resume in September, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Teams on Saturday, all at 7:45 p.m ;
• When competition start is imminent there is very little I can do to sort out player issues. Please give me at least 15 minutes notice  such things as unblocking new players, pairing up individual players etc ;
• For teams competitions the complications are multiplied, so please try to have your team registered at least half an hour ahead of start time.

Announcements

Limited Bridge in August

From the 13th to 31st August there will be Paddyi bridge only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 19:45. 

Subject to demand, normal €10/month service will resume in September.

Teams

The Saturday games in August will be a Swiss teams event.

Teams registration is slightly more complicated,but …

• if you have difficulty with the procedure you can simply enter as a pair in the normal way and take pot luck on the other half of your team ;
  OR
• You can contact me during the week before (Monday to Friday)  & if you assemble your team online I will assist you to register one or more days in advance ;
  OR
• For those teams that have mastered the team registration procedure entry will be open as normal from 2 hours before competition start.

One small caution, I am still building my experience running BBO Swiss, so there is still an experimental element to teams games.

The first teams match will be on Saturday 15th August.
